In the military, we would always talk about "intrusive leadership." This is the type of leader that not only leads from the front but also who is involved in the lives of those under their care. For the last 20 years, there has been a huge shift between parents and their roles when it comes to their kids. They are either too removed or afraid to reprimand and hold their kids accountable so as not to hurt their feelings. Unfortunately, all the things currently going on with society falls on us folks.
